2011 Annual General Assembly

The annual General Assembly of the International Association of Sports Law for the year 2011 was convened in Moscow, Russia, on September 30.
IASL General Assembly decisions
a. IASL new President and new BoD for third term (2012-2014)
New President of IASL re-elected the Professor of the University of Athens and Vice-Rector of the Central Geek University Dimitrios P. Panagiotopoulos, as well as many members from the already former BoD and a few new members (http://iasl.org/pages/en/about_iasl/board_of_directors.php).
b. The IASL General Assembly decision concerning the composition of IASL Constitutional Committees as well as the IASL executive Board, IASL award committee and IASL Scientific committee.
c. The major decision in General Assembly is the approval of the decision of IASL congress for the establishment of an “International Constitutional Charter for Sports Activities”. The IASL General Assembly composed a special committee under the Assist. Professor Dmitri Rogachev, who will submit the final text of this charter for approval in the next IASL Congress, Oct. 10-12, 2012 to Beijing.
d. Also, the General Assembly decided that the new IASL BoD will participate in other committees (http://iasl.org/pages/en/about_iasl/committees.php), as well as and in a committee with three members with subject to upload on line Sports Law articles in IASL webpage.
e. Finally, the General Assembly confirmed that next IASL congress (18th) will take place in Beijing, China, Oct. 10-12, 2012. Then, it was decided that the 19th IASL Congress will take place in 2013 in Bali, Indonesia. The other candidate countries will inquire in the next congress in Beijing.
