Dear Friends and colleagues,
Dear IASL members,
As I am sure you are all aware of, the annual conference of our Association will take place in Seoul, Korea, on 24-28 November 2010. You will be informed in due time about the date and time, as well as the Agenda of the General Assembly; I would only like to remind you that necessary condition for the participation of members to the General Assembly is to have fully paid-up their financial obligations (membership fee) to the Association.
Apart from that, you are all aware of the fact that we have established several task committees in order to contribute and add to the Association’s scientific work. These committees and its members are posted in our website and we expect from them the first results since their activation. In case some of you may be interested in taking part, we are looking forward to hearing from you.
I am also writing to you to inform you about the latest news on the current issues of our association. In the past year, we have assumed following activities:
Cyprus Olympic Congress, 30-31 January, 2010
The congress was organized by Cyprus Olympic Committee and the President of IASL participated with a presentation on "Legal aspect of International Olympic Committee and Sport Federations and the national and international Sports legal order".

Sports Law Congress, 18-20 March, 2010, Budapest, Hungary
The congress was organized by SPORTJUS. The IASL President participated as an invited lecturer with a presentation on: "The state sports law and the Lex Sportiva".

First Legal Arab Sport Forum, April 23-24, 2010, Egypt
The President of IASL, Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos, and the member of IASL, Mr. Sergios Manarakis participated as invited lectures in the First Legal Arab Sport Forum, organized by the SHIAC Arbitration Center that took place on 23-24 April 2010, in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt ("Arab Lex Sportiva").

International Symposium, May 13-14, 2010, Istanbul, Turkey
The Honorary President of the International Association of Sports Law (IASL), Prof. Dr. James A. Nafziger, participated to the 60th Congress of the International Association of Legal Science - IALS International Symposium, on Sports Law, which will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, date: May 13th-14th, 2010.

The President of IASL, Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos, took part in the 1st Congress of Sports Law organized by the Bar Association of the Balearic Islands, on June 24- 25, in Palma, Spain (“International Sports activities and international legitimacy”).

Sports Law Conference, September 6-7, 2010, Istanbul, Turkey
IASL is co-organizing an academic and practitioners conference, which was held in Istanbul, Turkey, on 6-7 Sept. 2010, discussing the internationalisation of sport business, legal and policy issues, and opportunities for collaboration between academic units and sport business practitioners. International Comparative Law, Policy, Sport Business Management, Strategy, Marketing, and related fields' submissions with an emphasis on academics-practitioners collaboration prospects are particularly encouraged. The main topic of the conference was "The Law and Business of International Sport".
Sports Law Conference in Cyprus, 18 September 2010
This conference organized by the Notional Olympic Committee and Cyprus Sports Law Centre in view beginning post graduate program in Sports Law and International Sports Law in Cyprus.
In this Conference participated and members of IASL as invited lectures: Sergios Manarakis, I. Anagnostopoulos, Nakis Michaelides and IASL President Dimitrios Panagiotopoulos.
You will be informed soon about the Agenda of the General Assembly with all pending issued to be discussed. All the relevant information will also be posted to the IASL website.
