Dear friends and Colleagues, Ladies and Gentlemen,

IASL as a scientific association organizes annual International Sports Law Conferences and it has a long-standing work in the field of Sports Law worldwide. Its objective is to develop science, research and teaching of Sports Law through Universities and scientific labs, as well as to develop professional skills in the Sports Lawyers and Sports Clubs.

IASL from the first moment of its establishment until today, researching deeply and promoting internationally the scientific field of Sports Law. It has joined forces in order to promote Sports Law worldwide, keeping in mind the need for specialised knowledge by all active people occupied with Sports Law, with both high level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

IASL decided that this year’s congress, which will be hosted by the Hellenic Center of Research on Sports Law (EKEAD) in collaboration with the IASL Sports Law Academy and the Saudi Law Training Center (SLTC), should touch upon many of the issues in Professional Sports Law, especially in Football and Basketball. The general topic of the congress is "Professional Sports law: Law and Justice in Football and Basketball”.

The Programme of the Congress will include a large number of educational and scientific events, along with abstracts from distinguished Professors and Sports Lawyers who will share with us their research findings, practical knowledge and experiences.

We anticipate that the 24th IASL Congress will be a good occasion to enrich knowledge and experience about the latest developments in the field of Sports Law.

As the President of IASL, I look forward to welcoming you to the historical city of Athens!
